Thank You to So Many from the RSCC
It Takes a Village…and then some…
The Richfield Springs Community Center Board of Directors wishes to thank all the supporters of our Center who help to further our mission to “Care for the Community”. The Community Center, located at 6 Ann Street in Richfield Springs, provides our NY State Licensed P.L.A.Y. (after school program), the Zone Program for teens, and various community oriented opportunities. All of this is accomplished through the efforts provided by volunteers and the funding provided by individual donations, fund-raising events, and grants that our Program Director manages.
We would like to express our appreciation to everyone who is and has been involved in the various “life lines” that allow the Community Center to exist. First, we are grateful for all the volunteers who help support our programs and fund raising efforts. Your time and efforts are invaluable. Next, we wish to acknowledge the donors to the Zone Club Membership that was recently launched and hope that others will consider supporting the Center through this campaign. We also wish to thank all the supporters and sponsors of our fundraisers such as the recent 10k/5k Run Walk. Lastly, we wish to recognize the following organizations that have recently awarded us grants: 1) Otsego County Youth Bureau ($5,500); 2) the Community Fund of the Community Foundation for South Central New York ($15,000) to be used for the P.L.A.Y. program over two years; 3) the United Way of Delaware and Otsego Counties ($4,060) for The Zone Program; 4) the Rotary Grant ($2,497) for materials and supplies for the PLAY Program; and 5) the Stewart’s Holiday Match Campaign ($2,000).
What a positive force the above creates! We are happy that we can work together to make our community a better place in which to live. Thank You!
